BREWING at IDLETYME

“Brewed To Perfection”

Idletyme Brewing’s beer lineup represents a traditional take on classic European brewing with a healthy dose of the Vermont hop culture thrown in for good measure. Try a classic Idletyme brew, like our Helles lager and West Branch NEIPA, and be sure to check out the draft list for our seasonal offerings!

MEET THE BREWER

Head Brewer John Boyle brings a craftsman’s mindset and hands-on approach to every beer he makes. John didn’t come into brewing chasing trends or trying to reinvent the wheel–he got into it because he has always respected the work it takes to build something real.

John started out as a homebrewer who volunteered at his local brewery in West Palm Beach, Florida: scrubbing tanks, cleaning kegs, and learning the trade one batch at a time. That experience made it possible for him to travel across the country, landing in the state that sparked the craft beer revolution–Vermont. Once in the Green Mountain State, he made his way to Idletyme, eventually working his way up to Head Brewer.

For John, brewing is equal parts patience, precision, and pride. He believes good beer should speak for itself by being clean, balanced and made with intent. His goal is simple: make beer that stands the test of time. John is brewing the kind of beer that people remember not because it’s flashy, but because it’s done right.
