Welcome to Idletyme Brewing Company.
Built in 1830 as a blacksmith shop, our home has had quite a history. From cider mill to youth hostel to the Idletyme Camp and famed Shed Restaurant.
But one thing has remained a constant. It has always been the place where the locals have gathered.
That tradition continues at Idletyme Brewing Company – Real food, real drink and real good people with a few surreal stories thrown in for good measure. We’re respectful of the history we’ve inherited as well as the unique relationship the site has with the community. We deliver all that tradition in a contemporary environment that offers the latest in brewing and cooking techniques.
Chef, Brian Murphy is a master at creating delicious, simple and seasonal comfort food. Brewmaster, Will Gilson is not only in charge of our delicious beer offerings, he and his green thumb are also responsible for our on-site vegetable garden.
The Idletyme ideals bring us back to thoughts of playing and working hard and savoring our Idletyme as we all should. Most importantly, appreciating what is around us – our friends, family and our beautiful town of Stowe.
Regardless of the stories told or the time in history, we always meet here, share friendship, and enjoy good food and drink together.
We hope to continue this tradition with you at Idletyme, and create more memories for the books.
